A Headshot Studio in the Heart of Brooklyn
Hancock Headshots is located at 125 Parkside Avenue in Flatbush, right at the southeast corner of Prospect Park. If you train at an acting studio in Park Slope, rehearse in Fort Greene, or live anywhere along the Q or B line, you can be in my studio in minutes — the Parkside Avenue station is steps from my door, and the F and G at Fort Hamilton Parkway are a lovely stroll along the park.
The studio is an easy trip from Windsor Terrace, Ditmas Park, Crown Heights, Prospect Heights, Prospect Lefferts Gardens, and anywhere in brownstone Brooklyn — no need to haul a garment bag of wardrobe changes into Midtown for your headshot session.
I've been photographing Brooklyn actors since 2006, from students in their first scene study class to working actors updating their looks between bookings. My approach is warm and supportive, all about reaching the most genuine parts of you and drawing them out into your headshots.

The sweet spot — and the one most actors book. Ninety minutes gives you room to settle in, shake off the first-fifteen-minutes stiffness we all have, and explore a few directions: commercial, theatrical, maybe that character look you've been curious about.

Your name in lights — or at least at the top of the casting director's pile. The Marquee is the full spread: two hours to settle in, experiment, and build a set of images that shows your actual range, not just one safe look. This is the session for a full rebrand, a pivot into new casting territory, or when your materials need to work as hard as you do.
A 2-hour shoot with room to explore, play, and push past the expected

Adding my makeup artist to your session is optional, but it's the upgrade clients thank me for the most. Here's how it works: you arrive an hour early for light hair styling and full makeup, done by someone who knows exactly how skin and hair read on camera (which is a different art than everyday makeup). Then she stays for your entire shoot, catching flyaways and shine between shots so your last look is as fresh as your first.
Rates for Hair & Makeup:
Cameo Session: $200 for women | $150 for men
Spotlight Session: $225 for women | $175 for men
Marquee Session: $250 for women | $200 for men
One small housekeeping note: hair and makeup is paid directly to the artist at the end of your shoot, separate from your session rate. She takes Venmo and cash, and she's worth every penny.

Ready to lock in your date? A non-refundable deposit holds your session — that's my commitment to you and yours to me, and it means your spot is officially off the market. Deposits go through Venmo (@Lisa-Hancock-5) or Zelle (917-628-8845), and the remaining balance is due on the day of your shoot. No invoices chasing you around afterward — we settle up, and you go enjoy your gorgeous new shots.
Want extra retouching beyond what's included in your session? Additional images are $50 each. (More involved requests may run a bit more — just ask and I'll quote it before any work begins.)
