Hancock Headshots is a Brooklyn-based headshot photography studio serving actors and professionals throughout New York City.

Since opening my studio in 2006, I’ve photographed literally thousands of actor, corporate, and personal branding headshots for clients at every stage of their career.

Recognized among the top headshot photographers in NYC, I not only work with actors, musicians and creatives but also with executives and professionals from the corporate world who are all looking for the same thing: images that feel natural, unposed and unmistakably themselves.

A Supportive Experience — Especially If You’re Camera-Shy

If you feel anxious or awkward in front of the camera, you’re not alone. I actually consider it my specialty — working with people who feel uncomfortable being photographed.‍ ‍I make sure my sessions are relaxed, unhurried, and guided every step of the way. They’re designed to help you feel supported, safe to experiment, and open up in front of the camera. This approach is especially helpful if it’s your first time getting headshots but just as valuable for seasoned professionals who want more authentic, connected shots.

What Working Together Looks Like

Every headshot package starts with a complimentary 30-minute Zoom consultation before your shoot. Think of it as a low-key getting-to-know-you conversation — we'll talk about your background, where you're headed, and how you want to be seen. Then we'll go through your closet together, on camera, and plan your looks plus a few backups, so everything you wear feels intentional and right for your goals.

By the time you walk in for your session, the prep work is done and the thinking is out of the way. All you need to do is show up and be yourself.

Every session includes unlimited looks — I don't cap the number we shoot. Partly that's practical: I don't want either of us stuck with the wrong color or style. But the real reason is what I've noticed over the years — the little reset each time you change clothes is when people loosen up. That's where the play starts, and that's usually where the best shot of the session comes from.
